Customer Review :
I purchased this camera and only tested it briefly before going on vacation to Disney World.
It performed beautifully in many sutuations, including the fireworks show. It is slow focusing in low light, but the quality of the videos, once focused, is very good. I also tested the 5MP stills and the quality was very good.
My only complaint is the screen. As with all cameras w/o an eyepiece, or even your cell phones, it is very difficult to see in sunlight. Even with the brightness up full, you must try to stand in the shade to get some idea of what is on the screen. One suggestion is to throw a towel, jacket or whatever over your head and camera, that should help. p.s. I did not try that.
The software supplied is something else. I still haven't gotten it to work correctly and video downloads will not run within the PMB program supplied. I have to use a quicktime video program to view on my PC.
However, that said, the videos play beautifully on my HD TV.
Buy a minimum of 16GB SD class 4 card and another battery and you are all set. USB charging is horrible, agonizingly slow.
Buy a charger and you will get a full charge in 90 minutes and not hours and hours that the USB hookup takes.
Enjoy! It's a fun camera.

5 Tips For Building a Business Online Making Friends
Ok...uhm! Let's get down to business fast.
The 5 top tips to build any business online using social media are...
#1: be yourself and always use your own full name when creating profiles on social media sites.
Don't use weirdo profile names. Be real. You do not introduce yourself to people you meet offline as "onlinehomebusinesstrainer" do you? Or "weightlossmastercoach"?? Do I need to say more?
"Hi, my name is...." You do it offline, do you? And that is how you should do it online too.
#2: invest in the necessary social media tools
Yup! As in any business you must invest, my friend! There is never something for nothing. The good news is it doesn't have to cost much. So here is what you need.
- A digital Photocam: you want to make as much pics of your life as possible so people can get into your world. I got one on my iPhone so probably you got one of your mobile too. Just make sure you got a good photo quality.
- A Sony Bloggie, a FLIP or a KODAK Zi8 video camera. Now this is a must. I have been playing with several types of video cameras and I have chosen the Sony Bloggie as my favourite. But you can choose which one you prefer. and they only cost about $199 a piece. With software like Windows Movie Maker or iMovie you can easily edit your movies before you post them online.
#3: Be of value to your connections.
You can connect with people online but unless you don't give them valuable information the connection will be fruitless for both of you. Make posts of information you like and discover. Let your connections follow you into your world. Create a great growing atmosphere so everybody grows as a human using social media. Three words are important: deliver, deliver, deliver!
Another way of putting it is: focus on what you can give, not what you can get.
#4: Don't become a social media junkie
It is not necessary to join "every" social media site on the planet. I use preferably Facebook for building my networking business. And this works fine for me. Facebook has over 300,000,000 users so it has great potential for me and I have met some great business partners on this site.
#5: Just do it
Yeah! Don't you just love the NIKE slogan?? It's the truth and nothing but the truth...If you don't take the necessary actions so you can make your own Social media strategy a success then nothing will happen. 10 to 15 Minutes a day will do the work for you. Create valuable content and people will start to look into you as a real person which they even may like and as the oldest saying in the book goes... people join people they like...:-)

Well, I have got to say, "I was blown away by this camera"! I really love it! I was attracted to the Bloggie for various reasons. It has a slide out USB connector, a rotating lens system which not only protects the lens but this feature also gives the user different angles for holding the camera. The Bloggie also uses the standard .MP4 file format which is a whole bunch easier to work with for uploading and storing on your PC. The Bloggie also uses a standard SDHC card or you can use Sony's own memory stick. The Bloggie also has software built in so you can use it on any PC. The SDHC card you install can also function as a drive while it's loaded in the camera. The Bloggie also gives the user the option of using it's built in software to handle video files or you can simply use drag and drop file handling. If needed, file conversion from MP4 to FLV, WMV and other formats is a snap. The Bloggie's actual video recording format is-(MP4 H-264 AAC). The Bloggie is extremely versatile in every way. Something worth noting, Sony has a much better reputation when it comes to customer and technical support and that was another deciding factor for me. The Bloggie comes supplied with a USB extension cable, video and audio cables, software, hand-strap, manuals and Li-on battery.
As much as I dislike doing comparison reviews, I thought doing so might be important for someone looking to buy a new camera. Anyway, In addition to the Bloggie I also purchased the new Kodak Playsport. In Retrospect, I rated the Kodak Playsport 5 stars two weeks before I received the Bloggie. In comparison to the Kodak the Bloggie is a far better camera. The Bloggie's color rendition is richer and the video itself looks so much sharper than the Kodak. The Bloggie does not seem to have that annoying gelatin effect when you pan the camera wereas the Kodak gelatin effect is very pronounced. The battery in the Bloggie also lasts longer. I get about 1.5 hours recording time with the Kodak but the Bloggie has given me 6 hours thus far without a charge. I only purchased the Kodak to use outdoors during inclement weather. One of my hobbies is related to monitoring and recording severe storms and so the Kodak seemed fitting since it's waterproof, other then that, I'll be using the Bloggie full time. There are so many more reasons why I like the Bloggie, more-so than the Kodak but I'll spare you the long read.
I've read one star reviews were folks have complained about the Bloggie's audio being poor quality. Mine sounds great! I've also read one star reviews about folks not being able to see the display in bright sunlight, well I've never known of any product that can be viewed optimally in those conditions. There was another one star review concerning the software, it's not the software! Boy-O-Boy, The Sony Bloggie deserves a better review, it's just a great camera!
In a nutshell, I'll be recommending the Bloggie to my friends and family. The uploaded video was hot in 720/60 and I then converted the .MP4 to an .FLV using a freeware program. I hope it helps.

i ordered this set up for my wife for her birthday. its a great price but just keep in mind the old adage " you get what you pay for". the accessories arent the best you can get by any means. but...just keep in mind that if you want the camera, a memory card, a carrying case, and a hdmi cable, youll spend over 239.00 if you buy them individually. you get that plus a lot more with this package. the camera cleaning kit feels cheap but its all you really need and the carrying case is for the cyber shot camera. i wont know if it fits til next week when my wife opens it for her birthday. ill definitely be using the hdmi cable and the screen protectors which can be expensive on their own. bottom line...if you dont need all the accessories right away or have the money for top of the line ones just get the camera. however...this is a decent starter package for the price. besides...an extra battery never hurts anyone. even if it is aftermarket.
